When the Center for Disease Control (CDC) wanted to develop a simple but effective tool for combatting and treating Tuberculosis, they contacted Loomis Sales Corporation. With nearly 30 years of custom plastic and screen printing manufacturing experience, we spent five years researching and refining the TB ruler. Now recognized globally as the best way to measure for TB, the design we developed has been imitated by many. But the people behind this now-standard equipment are still here at Loomis Sales.

Available in “Flat” and “Caliper ” styles, this TB ruler is the result of nearly five years of research and development. The flat ruler is the most basic of the two, as users both measure and record the results. The caliper ruler comes in two parts which slides inside itself allowing the user to measure and set exactly what is measured without needing to record the results separately in the exam room.

		Because of its ease of use, many CDC nurses prefer the caliper style ruler because it allows them to measure, set it aside, and continue to care for their patient without interruption. Others still prefer the more basic flat ruler which is available in both generic and custom-branded styles using graphics provided by the customer.
